Best Dog Bow Ties: Six Listings Compared by Neck Range and Care
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Details
Best dog bow ties are an appearance accessory. They dress a dog up for photos, parties and holidays, and the six Amazon listings in this guide differ mainly in neck range, piece count, closure and washing. This guide sets out what each listing states, shows the arithmetic behind the sizes, and keeps the fit advice to the AKC, ASPCA and Purdue Extension pages we opened on 22 October 2026. Where a listing is silent, the table says not stated.
Quick answer
- For one bow tie, the two single-piece listings are Huxley & Kent, with a hook and loop closure and a neck size of 4 inches on its specification sheet, and Faleela, a cotton bow tie on a buckle collar with a fit of 9.5 to 14.5 inches in its bullets.
- For a bulk set, the stated counts are 30 (PET SHOW), 100 (Reginary) and 120 (Cindeer, and Eccliy in its title). The Eccliy bullets do not add up to 120, so confirm that count before you order.
- Measure the neck where the collar sits and apply the two-finger rule from the AKC and Purdue pages. Compare that figure with the range in the listing, and do not assume a match.
- Plan the washing before you buy. Three listings say hand wash, two say machine wash, and Faleela allows either.
What a dog bow tie does and does not do
A dog bow tie is worn for how it looks. The listings say so in their own words. PET SHOW names photos, parties, weddings and holidays, Eccliy names Thanksgiving and fall parties, and Huxley & Kent names holidays, birthdays, gotcha days and everyday wear. These are the listings’ claims about use. None of the sources we opened covers bow ties, so none of these uses is confirmed from outside the listings.
The part that affects fit and safety is the strap or collar the bow tie fastens to. Most of these bow ties close with a buckle, a hook and loop fastening, or an elastic strap, so the collar guidance in this post applies to the strap as well. The AKC and Purdue pages are about collars, and the ASPCA page is about identification. None of them is about bow ties.
Identification is the job a bow tie cannot do. None of the six listings says its bow tie carries an ID tag or a microchip. The ASPCA states that “collars can come off, leaving the pet without any identification.” Treat the bow tie as decoration and keep an ID tag on the collar it sits on.
How the six listings compare
Table 1 sets out what each listing states for count, neck or strap figure, closure, material and care. Each cell comes from the listing’s title, bullets or specification table. Where the bullets and the specification table give different figures, the cell gives both and the notes below explain the gap.
| Listing | Count | Neck or strap figure | Closure | Material | Care |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| PET SHOW 30 Pack, paw print | 30 | Bullets: S/M 9 to 17.7 in, M/L 12.6 to 20.5 in. Spec sheet: Neck Size 12.6 in | Buckle | Polyester | Hand Wash Only |
| Huxley & Kent Garden Party, small/medium | 1 | Spec sheet: Neck Size 4 inches. Bullets: not stated | Hook and loop | Polyester | Machine Wash |
| Eccliy Fall 120 Pcs | 120 in title and spec sheet. Bullets: 30 styles, 2 of each | Bullets: about 8.7 to 14.2 in | Buckle | Webbing and polyester (bullets) | Hand Wash |
| Cindeer 120 Pcs | 120 | Bullets: strap about 10 to 16 in | Buckle (push pull, bullets) | Polyester | Hand Wash |
| Reginary 100 Pcs, paw bone | 100 in title. Spec sheet: Unit Count 1 | Bullets: 8.7 to 14.2 in. Spec sheet: Neck Size 8.7 in | Plastic buckle (bullets) | Polyester (spec sheet) | Machine Wash |
| Faleela Bowtie Dog Collar, S Blue | 1 | Bullets: 9.5 to 14.5 in. Spec sheet: Item Length 15 in | Buckle | Cotton (bullets and spec sheet) | Gentle machine wash or hand wash |
Closure and care are the main splits. Five listings state a buckle, and Huxley & Kent states hook and loop. Three listings say hand wash, two say machine wash, and Faleela says gentle machine wash or hand wash. Water resistance is stated on three specification sheets: Huxley & Kent says water resistant, while PET SHOW and Reginary say not water resistant. The other three do not state it.
Material is stated by five listings as polyester, in the bullets, the specification sheet or both. Faleela states 100% cotton in its bullets. The sources we opened do not say how any of these materials wears, so the material notes come from the listings only. Eccliy’s bullets also say its ties are “not easy to fade or break,” which is a listing claim we cannot check.
Neck range and the two-finger check
Each listing gives a neck or strap figure in its bullets, its specification sheet, or both. The arithmetic below uses the bullet ranges, because the specification sheets give single figures. The width of a range is its top figure minus its bottom figure.
| Listing | Bottom figure (in) | Top figure (in) | Width (in) |
|---|---|---|---|
| PET SHOW S/M | 9 | 17.7 | 8.7 |
| PET SHOW M/L | 12.6 | 20.5 | 7.9 |
| Eccliy | 8.7 | 14.2 | 5.5 |
| Reginary (bullets) | 8.7 | 14.2 | 5.5 |
| Cindeer (strap) | 10 | 16 | 6 |
| Faleela | 9.5 | 14.5 | 5 |
| Huxley & Kent | not stated | not stated | not stated |
The working is 17.7 minus 9 is 8.7 for PET SHOW S/M, 20.5 minus 12.6 is 7.9 for PET SHOW M/L, 14.2 minus 8.7 is 5.5 for Eccliy and Reginary, 16 minus 10 is 6 for Cindeer, and 14.5 minus 9.5 is 5 for Faleela. A wider range covers a wider span of neck sizes, but it is a product figure and says nothing about any particular dog.
Reginary’s two figures do not agree. Its bullets give 8.7 to 14.2 inches, while its specification sheet gives Size 8.7 inches and Neck Size 8.7 inches. This guide does not choose between them. Ask the seller, or read the full product page, before you rely on either.
Fit guidance comes from collar pages, not bow tie pages. The AKC measuring guide says to “measure around your dog’s neck and follow the two-finger rule to avoid a collar that’s too tight.” It adds that “once the collar is on, you should easily be able to slide two fingers between the collar and your dog’s neck.” The same guide says that “the neck girth is the circumference of your dog’s neck, generally where the collar sits,” and that “if your dog is in between sizes, always go for the larger size.”
Purdue Extension gives the same check: “a properly fitted flat buckle collar will be somewhat snug; however, you should be able to easily fit two fingers between your pet’s neck and the collar.” Its guide also warns that a “flat buckle collar that is too tight or dirty can cause skin irritation,” and advises that you “measure the size of your dog’s neck before purchasing a collar.” Purdue adds that “the collar’s package will generally give the sizes (in inches) to which it will adjust.” For a bow tie, the range in the listing is the nearest equivalent to that package figure.
The AKC harness and collar page adds that “if the fit is too loose, your dog may be able to wiggle out and escape.” That page is about collars and harnesses, not bow ties. Applying its advice to a bow tie strap is an inference, and the sources we opened do not cover bow ties. If the bow tie sits on a collar you do not yet have, see our collar or harness guide for the collar side of the choice.
Count and pack size
Count is where the listings disagree most. Each figure below comes from the title, bullets or specification sheet, with the working shown.
- PET SHOW lists 30 pieces and says there are 30 different paw and bone patterns. 30 divided by 30 is 1, so the listing reads as one piece per pattern.
- Reginary’s title gives a mix of 40 neckties, 30 puppy bowties and 30 collar flowers. 40 plus 30 plus 30 is 100, which matches the 100 in the title. The specification sheet gives Unit Count 1 Count, so it does not give the set size.
- Eccliy’s title and specification sheet give 120. Its bullets say “30 different styles” with “2 of each, a total of 120.” 30 styles times 2 is 60, not 120. The listing does not say which figure is right, so confirm it before you order.
- Cindeer’s title and bullets give 120 pieces in 14 solid colors. If the pieces were split evenly, 120 divided by 14 is about 8.6 per color. The listing does not give the split, so the 8.6 is a planning figure we worked out, not a listed one.
- Huxley & Kent and Faleela each list one piece on the specification sheet.
The count changes what you are buying. A bulk set gives a range of designs to rotate through holidays or photos. A single bow tie gives one design for one outfit. The listings do not say which design suits which occasion, so choose by the occasion you have in mind.
Size, material and washing
PET SHOW lists two sizes. Its S/M bow is 3.94 by 2.17 inches and its M/L bow is 4.92 by 2.95 inches. 4.92 divided by 3.94 is about 1.25, so the M/L bow is about a quarter longer. 2.95 divided by 2.17 is about 1.36, so it is about 36 percent wider. Cindeer’s bow is about 4.3 by 2.5 inches according to its bullets, and its strap adjusts about 10 to 16 inches.
Faleela’s bullets describe its buckles as stainless steel and high strength plastic, and the listing gives no strength figure for any buckle or strap in the set. That is worth checking on the product page if you expect a lot of pulling.
Washing is the other practical split. PET SHOW’s specification sheet says Hand Wash Only, and Eccliy and Cindeer say Hand Wash. Huxley & Kent says Machine Wash, and its bullets say the bow tie is machine washable. Reginary’s sheet says Machine Wash. Faleela says gentle machine wash or hand wash. The listings are the only source for these instructions.
Product picks
Each section below gives who the listing suits, one strength, one limit and a skip-if line. Where a listing makes a claim about comfort, safety or neck wear, the section quotes the listing and says that the sources we opened do not cover bow ties. The card after the six sections repeats the listing’s specifications and the pros and cons from the same data.
PET SHOW 30 Pack Paw Print Dog Bowties
This suits an owner who wants 30 paw print designs in one purchase, in either S/M or M/L. The strength is the split between sizes: the bullets give separate necklines of 9 to 17.7 inches for S/M and 12.6 to 20.5 inches for M/L. The limit is care. The specification sheet says Hand Wash Only and Not Water Resistant. The bullets say the polyester is “very smooth so that they won’t bring your pets any hurt,” which is a listing claim we cannot confirm. Skip if you want a set you can machine wash.
Huxley & Kent Garden Party Pet Bow Tie
This suits an owner who wants one bow tie for a small dog or a cat, in a garden party print. The strength is the closure. The bullets and the specification sheet both state a hook and loop fastening, and the sheet says Machine Wash and Water Resistant. The limit is sizing. The sheet gives Dog Breed Size Small and Neck Size 4 inches, the bullets give no range, and the title says Small/Medium. The bullets say “Designed for all day comfort,” which is a listing claim, and the sources we opened do not cover bow ties. Skip if you need a stated range you can check before you order.
Eccliy Fall 120 Pcs Dog Bow Tie Bulk
This suits an owner who wants a large fall and Thanksgiving set for a small or medium dog or a cat. The strength is the stated adjustment: the bullets give a range of approximately 8.7 to 14.2 inches, a plastic buckle, and pumpkin, turkey and maple leaf prints. The limit is the count. The title and the sheet say 120, but the bullets describe 30 styles with 2 of each, which is 60. The sheet also lists the pattern as Christmas, which does not match the bullets. Skip if you need the count or the pattern confirmed before you order.
Cindeer 120 Pcs Dog Bow Ties
This suits an owner who wants a large set of plain bow ties in many colors for a small or medium dog or a cat. The strength is volume and color: the title and sheet give 120 pieces, and the bullets give 14 solid colors and a push pull buckle that the listing says keeps the tie “securely fastened.” The limit is the neck claim. The bullets say the polyester “will not hurt your pet’s neck or strangle it” and is “resistant to bite.” Those are listing claims about neck injury and durability, and the sources we opened do not cover bow ties. The sheet also says Dog Breed Size Small and Age Range Puppy, while the bullets say cats, small dogs or medium dogs. Skip if you need neck safety or bite resistance confirmed by a source.
Reginary 100 Pcs Dog Bow Tie Collar Set
This suits an owner who wants a bulk set of paw and bone designs for small and medium dogs and cats. The title gives the mix: 40 neckties, 30 puppy bowties and 30 collar flowers. The strength is the stated adjustment: the bullets give 8.7 to 14.2 inches and a plastic buckle design. The limit is the neck figure. The specification sheet gives one Neck Size of 8.7 inches, which does not match the bullet range, and it says Not Water Resistant. Skip if you need one confirmed neck figure before you order.
Faleela Soft Bowtie Dog Collar, S Blue
This suits an owner who wants a single traditional double bow tie on a collar, in blue. The strength is the build: the bullets describe a traditional double bow tie, hand sewn and attached to the collar with an elastic strap, in 100% cotton designer fabric, with stainless steel and high strength plastic buckles. The limit is sizing. The bullets give a fit of 9.5 to 14.5 inches, the title says Small Medium Large, and the sheet says Dog Breed Size Medium. Skip if you need a bow tie you can move to another collar, since the bullets describe it as attached.

How we chose
The research file for this keyword holds six listings, one from each of six brands: PET SHOW, Huxley & Kent, Eccliy, Cindeer, Reginary and Faleela. We read the captured title, bullets and specification table for each one, dated 22 October 2026. We did not add listings, did not drop any, and did not rank them, because the capture holds no sales rank and this guide does not use one. The research file does not show how the six were picked from the search results page or which results were left out, so this guide makes no claim about the full market.
Buying checklist
- Measure the neck where the collar sits, and compare the figure with the range in the bullets.
- Once the bow tie is on its strap or collar, check that you can slip two fingers under it.
- Confirm the count in the title matches the bullets before you order a set.
- Choose the closure you can live with: buckle for five listings, hook and loop for Huxley & Kent.
- Read the care line and plan the washing to match. Hand wash for PET SHOW, Eccliy and Cindeer.
- Decide between one bow tie and a set, based on the occasion.
- Keep an ID tag on the collar, since a bow tie does not identify the dog. If you need a collar to hold the bow tie, see our leash and collar set roundup.
- Treat neck and comfort wording as the listing’s claim, not a verified result.
Mistakes to avoid
- Trusting the title count without the bullets. The Eccliy bullets describe 30 styles with 2 of each, which is 60, not the 120 in the title.
- Reading PET SHOW’s title alone for size. The title says “for Large Dogs,” but its bullets say small, medium and large, and its S/M bow is 3.94 by 2.17 inches.
- Tightening a strap to keep the bow tie in place. Purdue warns that a flat buckle collar that is too tight can cause skin irritation, and the AKC guide asks for two fingers of room.
- Treating a bow tie as an ID. The ASPCA says collars can come off, leaving the pet without identification.
- Machine washing the PET SHOW set. Its specification sheet says Hand Wash Only.
- Taking comfort or neck-safety wording as a finding. Huxley & Kent’s “all day comfort” and Cindeer’s “will not hurt your pet’s neck” are listing claims.
What we could not verify
- Reginary’s neck figure. The bullets give 8.7 to 14.2 inches, and the specification sheet gives Size 8.7 inches and Neck Size 8.7 inches. The listing does not say which one applies to the set.
- Reginary’s third bullet. One bullet was cut off in the capture, so this guide does not use the third bullet of that listing.
- Eccliy’s count. The title and sheet give 120, the bullets imply 60, and the listing does not say which is right.
- Eccliy’s pattern and league. The sheet says Pattern Christmas and League Name NBA, while the bullets describe fall and Thanksgiving prints. The listing does not explain the sheet.
- PET SHOW’s neck figure. The sheet gives Neck Size 12.6 inches, which matches the bottom of the M/L range, but the listing does not say what the sheet figure measures.
- Huxley & Kent’s neck figure. The sheet gives Neck Size 4 inches. The bullets do not say what that figure measures, and the title says Small/Medium while the sheet says Small.
- Cindeer’s neck and bite claims. “Will not hurt your pet’s neck or strangle it” and “resistant to bite” are listing claims. No source we opened covers bow ties.
- Cindeer’s size. The bullets give a bow of about 4.3 by 2.5 inches, while the sheet gives an item size of 7.17 by 7.09 inches. The listing does not explain the second figure.
- Faleela’s detachable claim. The title says Detachable. The bullets say the bow tie is attached with an elastic strap and do not say it comes off.
- Faleela’s sizing. The bullets give 9.5 to 14.5 inches, the title says Small Medium Large, and the sheet says Dog Breed Size Medium. The sheet’s Item Length of 15 inches is not explained.
- Any pull, tear or bite result. No listing gives a figure for how much pull or tug a strap or buckle takes.
- Durability of the materials. Eccliy’s “not easy to fade or break” and Cindeer’s “resistant to bite” are listing claims only.
- Whether the washing instructions hold after washing. The care lines are the listings’ own text.
- The full market. The research file does not show the search results page or the listings left out, so this guide covers only the six it contains.
- Changes since capture. The listings were captured on 22 October 2026 and may have changed.
FAQ
Are dog bow ties safe to wear all day?
No source we opened says a bow tie is safe to wear all day, and those sources do not cover bow ties. The listings make their own claims: Huxley & Kent says its bow tie is designed for all day comfort, and Cindeer says its polyester will not hurt the pet’s neck. Use the collar guidance instead. Check the two-finger room under the strap, and take the bow tie off if the strap looks too tight or the skin looks irritated. Purdue says a flat buckle collar that is too tight or dirty can cause skin irritation.
How do I measure my dog’s neck for a bow tie?
Measure around the base of the neck where the collar sits. The AKC guide calls this the neck girth. If your dog is between sizes, the same guide says to go for the larger size. Compare the tape figure with the range the listing gives, and remember that the listing range is a product figure, not a measurement of your dog. Only the listing’s own range says where a bow tie fits, and the sources we opened do not cover bow tie fit.
Do bow ties work as ID?
No. The six listings say nothing about an ID tag or a microchip on their bow ties. The ASPCA says that “personalized ID tags are likely to be the fastest way to return a pet home,” and that “implanted microchips can serve as an important security measure.” Put the ID on the collar, and for tag options see our dog ID tag roundup.
Can I put a bow tie on a cat?
The listings differ. Huxley & Kent and Eccliy list pet types of cat and dog. Cindeer’s bullets say its bow ties are suitable for cats, small dogs or medium dogs, and Reginary’s bullets say most small and medium sized dogs and cats. PET SHOW’s bullets name cats among the animals it suits. Faleela lists dogs only. Check the listing range against the animal, since the range is a product figure and the listing does not give a cat measurement.
Should I buy a set or a single bow tie?
Buy a set if you want several designs for holidays or photos, and confirm the count first. Buy a single bow tie if you need one piece for one outfit. The single-piece listings are Huxley & Kent and Faleela. The set listings are PET SHOW with 30, Reginary with 100, Cindeer with 120, and Eccliy with 120 stated and 60 implied by its bullets.
How should I wash a dog bow tie?
Follow the listing’s care line, because the six listings differ. PET SHOW says Hand Wash Only, and Eccliy and Cindeer say Hand Wash. Huxley & Kent and Reginary say Machine Wash. For Faleela, the listing allows either gentle machine washing or hand washing. The listing is the only source for these instructions, and none of the sources we opened covers bow tie care.
Bottom line
Pick by neck range first. Measure the neck where the collar sits, check the two-finger room with the AKC and Purdue guidance, and choose a listing whose stated range covers that figure. Then choose by count and care: a set for variety, a single piece for one outfit, and the washing method you will actually use. Treat every bow tie as decoration, and keep an ID tag on the collar it sits on.
